Photo of the Day: Brunelleschi’s Dome (Florence Cathedral, begun 1292. Dome 1420-1436)
I have been slacking on the posts lately; it has been a busy
week. I will keep this one short and to
the point. In Florence, the dome of the
Florence Cathedral, known as the Duomo, is inescapable. You experience this structure repeatedly from
various vantage points within the city. Here are a few perspectives of Brunelleschi’s
Dome.
